Guide Wrap Help

Hello everyone, I'm working on a spiral wrap rod with nylon gold and nylon green trim in the middle of the wrap, I am about to wrap the guides and I am totally lost on the outwrap that would go on the guides. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated so I can move on with this project, I have posted a picture under guide wraps. Also notice tha the nylon thread tends to loose its sheen once CP is applied.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Interesting choice. You guys make me feel boring:)

How about a nice vibrant red in keeping with a christmas theme??? I use red, black, and gold together a lot....and red and black together. I Never use green and if I did would think earth tones. In your case the green is just an accent. Rubys and emeralds go together like red hair and green eyes.

Both of which, would have plenty of gold surrrounding them or soon be in search of greener pastures.

I would overwrap with the nylon green and leave a little tag of gold showing at the very ends.

Good choices given here so far. I agree with the green. I would also suggest that if you use regular green nylon,to use no color preserver.letting the gold underneath add some sparkle to the green wraps. I learned(long ago) that regular nylon thread often requires more than just a few coats to bring out the natural sparkle in it.
