6" off the tip.

I tried to do a search for this problem, and I know that it has been covered on this forum but I can't seem to find the information I need. I have a rod with 6" broken off the tip, where can I find the info to fix it? I would like to re attach the section that broke off and I remember a mention of an external mandrel. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

thanks
Mike

You make the rod almost like new, as long as you're careful and strictly heed the advice Ralph gives in the article.
