I picked up a Breakaway Omega 10' 6", 2pc that is a great blank. Great for plugging. I bought it for travel, I wish it were a 1 pc for home use, LOL. Re: Travel Surf Rod Blanks

I'm really looking for the 3-4 or more piece blanks. The application is Indian Ocean, and way back in the bush, with lots of 4x4 travel, so compactness is key. Re: Travel Surf Rod Blanks

You can get blanks for the three piece Daiwa Ballistic series. They are about 13 feet long and the lightest of the three models ("33") is going to cast around 5 oz with bait. They are good rods but they are for fairlyy heavy-duty surf fishing conditions. I don't know if any of the suppliers on the right carry them. In case they do, I will give them a chance to chime in. If not, the blanks are easy enough to find.
