PacBay M guides

I'm needing a little help on what M guides to use on a CTS 6'6'' trout spinning rod using 2-4lb test line. The reel face measurement figures out the be 20mm for the butt guide. I thought about using CMVSG 20, 10, 5, and then 3 or 4 04Ls and a CMVST05-04.5 for the tip top. Any input on this would be appreciated. This will be my first time using these guides.
Thanks
Terry

With that small diameter of line I usually can go at least one size smaller first guide without affecting casting performance. The height is more important than the ring size.

You don't really need that many different sizes. Most likely you can use a 3 or 4 for the choker and running guides.

The in-between size is determined by the straight line path.

Most any of the component dealers carry it. I wrote it, but it actually belongs to Amato Publications.

The 16-10 or 16-8 setup works well for the light line you mention. The 16 isn't much shorter than the 20--less of a difference than most gaps between reduction guide sizes.

I would suggest using the m's for the guides before the chock guide. Then the chock and runners and top use micros. A lot less weight on such a light rod.
