Correct:
Denatured alcohol (or methylated spirits) is ethanol that has additives to make it more poisonous or unpalatable, and thus, undrinkable. In some cases it is also dyed.

Denatured alcohol is used as a solvent and as fuel for spirit burners and camping stoves. Because of the diversity of industrial uses for denatured alcohol, hundreds of additives and denaturing methods have been used. Traditionally, the main additive is 10% methanol, giving rise to the term 'methylated spirit'

I USE 97%. The lower the percent means mre water and causes the burner to spit.

Mitchell,
Go to your hardware or big box store to the paint department and get alchol from there. It is the 97% variety and will burn with a colorless flame that is soot free.

If you buy alchol from the drug store it will only be 70% and it will burn with a yellow, sooty flame and sometimes not burn well at all.

Take care
REW

I like to warm my wraps up a bit so they'll drip a little more allowing me to pull as much finish off at the bottom as I can for a really thin and lightweight wrap.
