I have some blanks that I found in a corner so now I'm trying to figure out the manufacture and rating of these blanks. They are unfinished with the spiral pattern from the mandrel, as far as I can tell they are graphite. The blanks are: IGP845 (approx 7 foot), GP845(red cloth, approx 7 foot), GS846 with M- blue on butt (real stout, approx 6'6) and a GS785(approx 6'6) with red tape band. I wish I could post a picture to help out. Any info would be appreciated Re: Who made these blanks

Most likely Fenwick. The red tape band indicates a "second" and Fenwick was known for applying it to those blanks.

Thanks Tom. Being that they are unfinished with the spiral pattern on the blank, do I need to do any type of preparation to the blank before I consider wrapping them? Re: Who made these blanks

Not really, no. The Eagle models were natural grey with spiral pattern. So were the Matrix models, although they were painted a lighter gray.
On the blanks with the red tape, inspect them carefully for flaws. ............ Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
