Has anyone tried the metallic glow thread, I have just bought some Pearl Blue metallic Glow thread, and would like to know if anyone has tried this thread and how it turned out.

I have used the light blue and it looks good. It will glow for about 2 hours after removed from the light. I only used it on the butt and I am unsure what it would do on guides.

I was just looking at it in my wholesale catalog. I have heard good things about it though. I was thinking about wrapping, the tops of chunking rods, so i could see them in the dark easy.

If you want persistence ... well glow thread (as above) lasts about 2 hrs. Depending on the rod tip diameter you might want to think about a wrap on Breakaway tip light. I regularly put them on surf rods for guys who fish at dusk into the night. They're bright and will last through several trips before the battery needs to be replaced.

I used the FishHawk metallic "Brilliance" #005 yellow for a display weave I did last week. I was quite pleasently surprised. Photo was posted on the photo board.

I'm working on a couple other decorative ideas using "glow" threads and I just completed a weave that this is perfect for!
