John -
All Star didn't "close". The company was purchased and "restructured" in that they do not sell blanks any longer under All Star name but rather shifted to the sale of finished rods to the "big guys" (Bass Pro, Cabela's and others). I agree with you that Sharon was very nice to deal with, very helpful. I don't know where she is right now. She may still work for All Star. Re: Anyone know?

Actually all of the manufacturing moved to China. And the executives that remained were moved to the Shakespeare head quarters.

The name might be the same but it's not the All Star I knew! Just was wondering if she was still around the buisness at all! Re: Anyone know?

Todd, when you say "manufactured in China", exactly what do you mean? I'm curious to know if any part or manufacturing process of a "new" All Star rod is made/built in the USA. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
