RodMaker Volume 9 #6 for the full and complete details, or you can glean what you can from the internet and hope for the best. Far too much for a message board post.

Do a search here for past discussions on the topic. I'm sure you'll also get some additional posts with further information.

How many of them did you read ????

Many builders put it on in different ways

Do a search of - thread-less guide wraps

Also white silk can be a thread less wrap It disappears.--- Under epoxy

here are some photos [www.rodbuilding.org]

Rolly, I burst out laughing when I read your post. Irony...

Ryan, the best advice is to get the Rodmaker mag that covered it.

A silk wrap is a transparent wrap, but thread is still involved. The PG method is a true threadless wrap. It just depends on what you're after.

He did say threadless wraps. Permagloss is used to adhere the guides to the blank. If you don't buy the magazine detailing the process you will waste a lot of time and probably a few extra bucks trying to figure it out on your own. Do yourself a favor and buy the magazine and do it right the first time. All of those posts on permagloss will get you nowhere and probably frustrate you to no end.

You are going to be getting a lot more than just a "magazine." Wait and see...... you are going wonder how much you have missed by not taking this all along. That same issue is going to teach you so many other things too. Anyone that is really serious about rod building gets a huge benefit from the magazine. it's the cutting edge.

Does anyone know if the threadless wrap will work on those micro guides like size 2mm?

Yes. But read the article - there are certain limitations.
