Acrylic squares for windchecks and trim rings

I am looking for acrylic squares about 1" square 1/8" to 3/16" thick in several colors. I used to have a local supplier but with the economy the way it is, they went under and now I am looking for another source. Any ideas or direction would be greatly appreciated

Hi John

In Rodmaker Magazine 8/3 pg 10 there is an article by Joe Emig about "Adventures In Polyester Casting"
It may not be just what you are looking for, but you never know.
There is allso an article in 10/3 pg 36 notes on casting / insert resins.

Good Luck.

Bob,

New Bern, NC.

If you have a local "Tap Plastics" store near you, they sell 4"X4" acrylic scraps that can be cut to any smaller size.

Lots of vibrant colors here. Make rear and front grips for split grip rods or use the full 12'' length for one piece handles. Colors are real vibrant and takes on a high gloss when polished. Slice them in 1/4, 3/8 or 1/2 inch pieces and you can make some one of a kind trim rings and winding checks.
