Has anyone had experience with the spey rod blanks from The Anglers Roost? They are priced very inexpensive. They list it as a medium action mid flex blank. My limited study seems to indicate a fast action would be best. I am just wonder if this "inexpensive" translates into "cheap"? Your thoughts and opinions please!!! Re: Spey Rod Blanks

Mid flex is not a fast action If you like fast I would not think you would like this. Check these out. [www.meiserflyrods.com] Bill - willierods.com Re: Spey Rod Blanks

They are inexpensive, but not "cheap." Like many of the imported oriental made blanks, they don't cost an arm and a leg but offer a very good value for the money.

I have heard good things on Spey Pages about the 12'6" for what it is worth they seem to take a skagit from 350-450 and are more of a full flex. For 39.00 you cannot go wrong if you do not like it you do not have much in it.
I would 2nd Meiser for a top of the line spey blank! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
