they sell the components. it is up to you to use them how you wish and put them together. for a spinning rod take a look at the aero seat by amtak. it is one of the best factory designed and comfortable seats out there. then there is the sbss which is the best out there for spinning, but i am a bit biased Re: reel seat

bill the sbss is spelled out in the 13th anniversary edition (volume 12-4) of Rodmaker. Just get yours out and it explains it Re: reel seat

Reelseats are determined by the outside diameter of the blank. You put it where it feels the best for you. Some times you may have to use arbors or go one size up on the reelseat. You also can use a spinning seat on a casting rod. Unless you want a trigger. Some companies have designed a open side of a spinning reelseat so you can lay you thumb on the blank. For me I use the old finger under the line to feel a bite Good Wraps Bob Re: reel seat

John-The SBSS article was extremely well written and photographed. I have used nothing else on my spinning rods. That article itself was worth the cost of a three-year subscription to Rod Maker. I can't believe that some on this site do not subscribe. The price is less than that of a cheap second-hand blank. Re: reel seat

David I agree, I spend that much a week buying smokes. LOL I believe a few just ask question so they do not have to do any research at all. An those are the ones who get in to the most problems Good Wraps Bob Re: reel seat

Bob-I can find that much $ in my couch cushions. The only reason for any rod builder not subscribing to that incredible magazine is "chronic terminal cheapness." Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
