Needed?
You can do a very nice logo with Microsoft Word - google images and cut and paste The cover of the Electric Decal Package was done completely with word and word art. Take a look: [www.rodbuilding.org] All of the other images done on Swampland Tackle site were done with Corel Draw X4 which can be purchased on the Internet for aroung $ 69.00. It is a full featured graphic program and the limitations are the skill of the user. This program includes Paintshop mentioned by Mike Barkley in a later post. If you need a little assistance please contact me via email or use the Contact Us Link at:[www.swamplandtackle.com] Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/20/2010 09:40AM by Bill Stevens. Many programs will work, I just use Word. The only shortcoming I have found with Word is that you can’t create trapezoidal text boxes to match the taper of the blank. I get around this by making the height of the text box equal to the circumference of the blank at the large end, then I put another text box at the left edge of the main box and set the height equal to the circumference of the blank at the small end and center it on the main text box. This gives me a reference to line up my straightedge when I trim the decal. You can use any graphics program to edit your background graphics then Word lets you set the image as the background of your text box. Re: Decal Design Software

Just about any graphic editing software, Ones that work with layers is far more versatile. There are many but I prefer Paintshop Pro from Corel. Very powerful, versatile and reasonably priced Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Re: Decal Design Software

I've been using Gimp 2 for a couple of months. It's free and there are lots of tutorials on youtube and such. I've been pretty happy with it so far. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
