Good Problem to Have

Just discovered a good problem to have. If you have been bass fishing, then go to do thread wraps the next morning, be careful of the "bass thumb" condition.

Caught a few bass last night, then started wrapping today and the first one I did came out kinda fuzzy. Took me a minute to figure out why. My shredded right thumb from lipping bass was picking the fibers on the thread loose. :)

Hope everybody has a great day!

Haha..I had a similar issue....Im a bassist, and when I would leave band practice and go home to wrap thread...The thread would always look dirty and fuzzy as well...''I washed my hands so what the crap?'' ,I thought.
It took a minute for my brain to click!...It was from playing bass and shredding my calluses..And we practiced 2x a week.....So I thought about it logically and found my solution.

I quit the band.

One thing to try is rubber gloves. I have had the same problem in the past and the gloves have solved that problem.

Oh it was easy enough to fix the problem. I just rubbed my thumb with some 400 grit paper. All better :)

All the BASS I catch have flat wound strings.
