There is no reason to add acetone to your epoxy. It will ultimately create more problems than it will solve.

Mix slowly so you do not get bubbles to begin with and do not brush the epoxy around on the wraps. That only creates more bubbles.

Tom,
what do u mean by say " do not brush exopy around the wrap " ? well i have do somethings practice and when i put acetone on and mix and it turn into clear and bubble gone and i put on brush and put on wrap and cover it all with brush and let it dry and didnt see any bubble. but if i dont do brush what will the expoy going to do ? spread over byself when rotato, i'm trying to do something to make expoy look nice and smooth like other rods...

I "think" he means do not brush it and brush it and brush it around the rod. I believe the correct way is to hold the brush on the rod thread wrap....and turn the rod.....slowly pushing the epoxy forward as the brush is being held down on the thread. I am quite the rookie so this may not be what he meant. My understanding is that it is the way to apply the expoxy.

Josh,
Really not a good idea to mix acetone with any two part epoxy finish. Basically, the acetone will weaken the finish and change its chemical makeup.
One big issue wiht mixing acetone is that the two part epoxy cures by a chemical reaction. Acetone evaporates as a function of temperature and other factors. If the acetone does not evaporate before the finish skins over, you will be left eith entrapped acetone which will never evaporate.

Take care
Roger

Load the brush and lower it to the wrap from above. Rotate the rod one turn. That's all you have to do. The more time you spend messing around withe epoxy, the more bubbles you'll create and the more problems you'll have.
