I was placing an order at Jann's Netcraft this past week, and while I was adding reel seats to my shopping cart I remembered I needed split rings and treble hooks (for fishing, not rod building). I went to the split ring info, and all it gave was size numbers, not actual dimensions.
I used their live chat feature and was directed to their "Ask an Expert" section. I clicked on "sizing guide," and that opened an Adobe .pdf file with ACTUAL SIZE diagrams for hooks, o-rings, guide rings, tip tops, snake guides...and the list goes on and on.
In order for the sizes to be accurate you need to print the document.
This is a great reference for new builders as well as old pros.
Happy 4th to everyone. Have fun and be safe.

Thanks for sharing this information - it has been hard in the past to know what to expect when ordering online, and because I do not build in volume I cannot justify buying a little of everything to get first hand experience. The ICRBE I attended this year helped me to some degree, but a ready reference list like this is really useful for part-time tinkerers like me.
