Guys,
I will be using Threadmaster Lite finish on some of my rods and I have the following questions: 1) What is the minimum & maximum ammount of time between coats? (I will be aplying two coats in some areas) 2) How long should I wait before I can use the rod? 3) What is the life expectency for this product? (I have some new stuff (couple of months old and some stuff is about 2 years old) Thanks... Re: Threadmaster Questions

Here are MY suggestions based on MY experience ...
1) 6 hours and 48 hours. 2) One week. TM Lite takes a longer time to cure than other epoxies. 3) There isn't an "expiration date". Re: Threadmaster Questions

My opinion would be to switch to Diamond II and be done with any problems... I've had much better results now that I've switched. Re: Threadmaster Questions

He didn't mention any problems he was having, and none of the common thread finishing epoxies are problematic.
Everything Jim said is on the money. ........... Re: Threadmaster Questions

Just to add.....Air temperature make a big difference, that's why Jim's numbers are so vast. The colder the temps, the longer the numbers can be.
If you plan to store your bottles of TM lite for a long time, just warm them up before re-use, a few seconds in the microwave makes them like new again. You can also sit them in warm water as well. Remove tops so no pressure builds before warming. DR Re: Threadmaster Questions

Have you guys also noticed that TM lite needs to be mixed a lot longer than other finishes? Re: Threadmaster Questions

Jason,
Yes it does. I do 100 strokes left, 100 right, 25 left and 25 right....works every time, using a flat spatula. DR Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
