ATC V question

Scratching through my rod blank pile i came across an ATC V (not Amtack the other one) blank.
Model SJV662, rated 6-12.
I think i maybe got it in one of the bins at the ICRBE.
Anyone every build on one? Or know what it was originally designed for?
I would think the SJ would be spin jig maybe?
I am hoping it would work as a light topwater stick, but its feels a little too fast initial impressions.
Any input welcomed.

Advanced Tubular Composites. Should be a 6' 6" Spin Jig in a 2 power according to the numbers and line rating. I have built on quite a few of the ATC blanks but not that particular one. I think they are a little lighter powered than what the numbers indicate. Now I am comparing them to other brands rated the same. The blanks I have built on were the Honey colored ones. I think they are fine blanks.
It would probably make a good little Top Water stick if the backbone is there. Or maybe a Jerk Bait rod.

It would work for a light towater stick.

I use my Shikari SHX PSJ662 (same exact model...just from when Shikari made it) for 1/4 and 3/8 ounce ball head jigs with minnows or grubs for Walleye. Jig/grub and jig/tube for Smallmouth. I toss soft unweighted jerk baits too. I don't fish small topwaters often at all, but I have used it for that on more than one occassion.

Lou - Fishsicks had a good number of the ATC blanks at ICRBE this year. I have built on alot of those and the ATC V was the lightest series they had. I built that blank as a dropshot rod.
