While checking out Pics of Grips and Reel Seats, I saw several rods that used Carbon Fiber that were epoxied over. I like the Carbon Fiber on alot of things and RodBuilding is no exception. I looked around and found a "Composite Envisions" that sells Carbon Fiber in strips and I think the 2" wide stuff (only 0.010" thick) could be versatile. I'm ASSUMING that the Thread Wrap Epoxy we use, FlexCoat, for instance, would be sufficient since Carbon Fiber IS, afterall, made up of Carbon which is what Graphite is.
Are there any concerns that should be addressed when using the Carbon Fiber? Any info would be very much appreciated, Bro's!!! A Custom Rod is like a Custom Rifle. Better. Re: Carbon Fiber "Tape" and RodBuilding

Some of your assumptions are correct. You may find the sleeving easier to use than the tape. Please read RodMaker volume 10 #5 for full details on making carbon fiber grips, handles, etc. It has all the details.
