Batson RX7 matte finish

I am doing my fiest build on a RX7 matte blank. My question is when under my work table lamp or outside in the sun, there are small portions of the blank that appear a dusty brown or as if some dust was thrown on it. It does not completly cover the portions of the blank but is there. Is this an optical allusion of some type? Any one seen it?

I haven't noticed it on any of my builds.

Never seen it. Did you try cleaning it with denatured alcohol?

Yea, no good. It is not dust or dirt. Maybe I can get a picture.

Tom,
If you don't like the blank, return it.
Otherwise, build the rod and sell it and or enjoy it.

Take care
Roger
