it give me lot of positive things about MHX blanks line up and i'm sure that more new line up from then will coming soon .. i would like to see somethings that MHX can make many groups of line up as gloomis have
i still look at all of magnum, spin, spinning, and blend for a smallmouth bass that i'm going to building a full series line up.. also i'm trying to take a look very careful coz i still want to find a nice spinning rod from MHX that will take a nice taper, action to throw a no.5 shap rap and a nice long lanucher med/light casting for small baits and i'm trying to looking for a soild hook set and backhone to fighting a big smallmouth that want to break a braid line but i have been intresting into buy some of MHX very soon also i would love to see a MHX would make a 8 footer medium action crankbait in 963 as castaway blanks have but still plan to get castaway in 2 model is grass mats model and a crankbait model it all ... I just bought a MHX blank, crankbait blend 7'6", it said it weighed 1.9oz, my StCroix weighed in at 3.6oz and its a 7 footer, I felt the weight of both and it seems like teh StCroix is lighter, now how can that be if the MHX say's it weighs only 1.9oz! but I bought the MHX for my first try at custom rod building, and is still trying to find out how to paint and finish the rod. MHX rod weight?

Hello, I am new here and to rod building . I have just finished my first rod and it was a MHX rod . Its the 904 lt saltwater model . 7'6" halide guides concept style, st.croix handle, penn conquer 5000 reel . Although its not a croix or loomis they are nice . Not quite as fast .I would say close to loomis greenwater . i havent caught anything with it yet but will update when i do . seems to load good and have ample power for reds and snook . maybe even a juvi tarpon . but we will see when i hook up . as for mudhole making them they dont they are made for them . I would definately build one again . Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
