Lamiglas blanks

Has anyone used the Excel bass blanks? I have on several occasions used them and everytime I have to send them back. The finsh has bubbles in it and the finish is speckled.
I have contacted Lamiglas and they replace it. My suppler had 5 of the blanks and all of them had defects in the finish.Has anyone else had this problem? Am I being to picky?
For what they cost they should be perfect.

A bad batch might have slipped out somehow. It's not the norm.

I used one a few months back and the finish was very nice. It wasn't too long after they first came out.

If you have a problem, Contact Josh or Kindra at Lamiglas. They want to know of any problems. So they can correct all problems. I have never ran in to a blank finish problem. Can you be more specific?

Bob I called Lamaglas and spoke with someone about the finish they said thank you and offered to send a new blank.Just didnt convince me that he cared . I could be wrong on that.
The finish was speckled for 4 inches down from the tip and the color faded from copper to a greenish copper color. This was the second one in the Excel series that the finish wasnt right. The first onehad 4 or 5
blisters in the finish. I like the blanks and will use them again if they can get the finish right.

Brett. Email me at balcomberods@aol.com I may have a answer or a way to clear up your problem. I have not a clue who you talked to. I have been dealing with Lamiglas for over 30 years and they do care about their product

Hi Brett
I too have had several problems with Lamiglas, not with finished rods but with blanks. I get the same feeling as you when I talk to them, "just send it back and we'll check it out" so now I have bought the blank or blanks, built the rods and spent alot of time and money, now I have to pay to send the blanks back, you are right they are top money and we should expect top quality BEFORE it leaves the factory.
