Hello everyone,
Well I hope I'm posting in the right place. I'm in the need of some help on some blanks. I have 2 Allstar rods that are broken and I am wanting to find a blank that will match them. The two rods are as follow PRMX 7'6" Moderate/Medium Classic Series 908FS 7'6" Ex Hvy Fast Action I am looking for the tip and butt sizes on these rods. I sent Allstar an email, but can't get a reply back. Thanks for any help. Glen I Was Born Without Gills, Therefore I Fish! Love The Wife! Live Long! Fish Till You Die! Re: Allstar Blanks

Allstar is no longer in business. Can you repair the blanks well enough to measure AA and ERN? There are folks here who can point you to the right blanks if you can get the measurements. The tip and butt size don't tell much of the story. The actual power and action a blank will vary greatly between blanks of the same size due to differences in materials, thickness, and construction techniques. Jason Cosby Cos Rods Re: Allstar Blanks

If you can find more infor on them, like lure weight, line weight you can go to most any company and try to find some thing to fit the specks. Try here: [www.mudhole.com] Bill - willierods.com Re: Allstar Blanks

Glen,
Unless someone here happens to own those blanks and is very familiar with them, we won't be able to do any better than you would finding other blanks that match the line and lure rating. If you need to get an exact match, you're pretty well stuck measuring. The line and lure ratings may get you close, but they are subjective and completely arbitrary between different manufacturers. That's why the CCS was created. With the numbers, you'd be able to find exact matches that you'd swear were the originals. Information on how to measure can be found in the second link down on the left. Jason Cosby Cos Rods Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
