Thinking about putting the wrap on a fly rod butt section. Has anyone done this? I've wrapped a ferw larger spinning rods but not the small dia. of a fly rod. Any input on this? Going to use medium green and siver mettalic for colors. I really do appreciate the input from everyone here. Re: Fly Rod Tiger Wrap?

It'll work just as well on small diameter blanks as it does on larger diameter blanks.

If they want a hook keeper, it looks great on both sides. I put a tiger wrap on almost every fly rod I do. Re: Fly Rod Tiger Wrap?

Terry, could not find any of my pics of a Tiger wrap surrounding both sides of a hook-keeper. But I did post one of Tiger wraps on both sides of a snake skin wrap on the butt section. They take some time but look really nice in an area where weight is not much of a factor. I put them on almost all my nicer fly rod builds. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
