I have a question for you guys and I am hoping that somebody might have some information on it since some of you have been building rods for so long so if anyone could help I would be grateful to you all. Back in 1992 or more or less I used a color preserver not sure the brand or company but it was in a glass brown root beer jar with a screw off lid and brush that was attached to the bottom of the lid any idea what brand this is or where I might be able to find it.

Thanks much

It was SC215 by Epoxy Coatings Company. Really great stuff. However, it was discontinued about that same time and is no longer available. Sorry. I've looked for it myself - it was my brand of choice for many years.

I still have about 1/4 of a bottle. It is a thick liquid in the bottle, and the top is on REALLY tightly. It is marked" Flammable."

Have you tried Cason's solvent-based formula? It's great for everything except snake skin.

If you ever paint under your wraps, be careful using the Casons. Apply lightly quickly and let it dry completely in between a second coat if you use one.
