crankbait rod

Just want to thank Bill Stevens for the suggestion of using the Castaway blank 964 XP3 as a crankbait rod. I used all micros #3, the new ones from American Tackle on the rod and had the first chance to use it in a tournament this past Sunday. It performed flawlessly and once I had my reel dialed in correctly, it cast the crankbaits with great distance and with very little effort. If you are looking to build some crankbait rods, I would for sure take a look at this blank. Re: crankbait rod

I built the 965 and love it too! you can really launch baits with these 8 footers! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
