If you obtain an aluminum winding check that is either a little to tight or a little to loose, what are your options? Never used one before and was just wondering the do's and do nots of these items. Re: aluminum winding check adjustment???

Too large - put it over your thread trim wrap.
Too small - ream the opening a little larger. ............ Re: aluminum winding check adjustment???

Too large - put it over a thread wrap.
Too small - save it for a smaller rod and put it over a thread wrap. Re: aluminum winding check adjustment???

I used a layer of masking tape as an arbor for an aluminum check that was just a tad loose...it also helps center the check on the blank Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
