I'm having trouble coming up with a thread color to use on a rod. The blank is black, carbon fiber handle with blue trim rings and checks. I want to use blue metallic as a trim band but can't come up with a main color that'll good with this. Any ideas?

you might try black or a gray

I agree that black or gray would look good with a metallic blue trim. Black w/ blue trim will match the color scheme of your grip and trim rings. However, you might want to consider using blue as your main wrap and then use a silver or white trim band.

I think the black main and blue trim will flow nicely with the carbon grips and blue checks

I appreciate the help guys. I did a bunch of test wraps on a scrap rod and medium gray no CP with a blue trim is the choice.
