Yes you can. For the tip, there are some new ones from Fuji that have up to a 6 tube size now. Mudhole and Jann's has them listed.

Bucky;
If you are building yourself a flipping stick on which you intend to use mono or floro lines in the 20lb+ range or stronger braids?
Do yourself a favor and stick with a 6mm tip. Use the Batson Alps style if a smaller profile is important to you.

Steve, Why do you recommend the use of a size 6 tip?

To me, some of that with the tips back then was because there was not a braced tip avaliable. From the few I have used now that are braced, I have not had any issues with the tips. Time will tell.

Time has told - back to the drawing board. Production guys are seeking stronger tips for warranty concerns. When used on a spiral current bracing is folding.

On my personal flippers I have tried and BROKEN all of the micro tops!!! stick with BFAT or the similar no issues there.
