After installing decal on blank how do you keep the edges down so epoxy does not get under media and raise, have now tore off three decals.
I am using the silver sheet. Had to order more from Swampland this morning, not that that is bad. Thank you Re: Electric decal?

That's fully covered in article. Look on page 17 - that trick actually came from an earlier article on decals which also ran in RodMaker.

I feel your pain.
When I first started, I had the same problem. Best solution I have found is: 1. Apply the decal. 2. Make sure it is pressed down with no bubbles and without damage to the edges. 3. Let it rest for 12-24 hours then press down again (making sure not to damage). 4. Mix a small amount of epoxy (ThreadMaster, FlexCoat, Diamond II etc) and very lightly 'paint' all the edges of the decal. We usually have to mix at least two batches of epoxy per rod. Use what is left of the first batch. 5. Let dry. Then it should be ready for a final application without lifting. Works for me. Hope this helps. Preform the decal around a piece of dowel or simialr to give it a "memory". Mine don't lift with this method. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
