I am getting ready to build on a couple Castaway blanks that are a dark forest green. Does anybody have any good thread combination suggestions? Re: Thread Color

Get a color wheel ... decide on complimentary or contrasting and go from there. My favorite on dark green is more of the same - dark green nylon without CP - just let the blank stand on its own merit with a bit of contrast from the hardware. Re: Thread Color

I really like NCP green with a thick red trim band (use scarlet nylon and coat with CP) and thin gold band. Looks great on a green blank.

That ruby red looks great over the green blank. Im thinking a med-dark brown might look nice also. Re: Thread Color

I have built several of these blanks.
The best combination I have found is Fish Hawk Dark Green with CP with Gold metallic trim bands. This combination really pops - especially with a rattlesnake skin as butt trim. I have also done medium brown with a light tan (almost white) trim band. It looked OK, Regards Bert Nagy Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
