I need a little help! A customer and friend Read an article about a NEW fishing technique, just so happens that the author said that this rod is what he uses. Now the customer thinks that you must have that rod in to be successful. What he wants is 7' 3" extra fast tip with medium power. I would gladly build him one But I am Having trouble finding a blank that might work. Any thoughts?

Jeff,
my recommendation would be to take something like the "P904-MHX" and cut 3" off of the butt. This blank is very fast and light. I looked through the catalog and couldn't find any models in that length and power.

The action will become faster if you buy a 7 footer and extend it by 3 inches. So if you need an extra fast action, that might be your best bet. Such a short amount wouldn't be much of a problem.

The Technique is the The Hideki rig You can go to Bass masters tips and tools look for the story Western ways part 1 . I am thinking that You would be able to use quite a few different rods for this. More of a personal preference type thing.
