Does anyone know of any stores in the San Antonio, Tx area that sell rod building supplies? My second question, I have an all star rod that has it's finish coming off, can save it and what do I use? Thanks in advance.

There is a place in Houston but that would be about it. Not many walk in rod building supply stores anywhere. Most are mail or internet order. Given todays fast shipping you are about as well off to just order online and save your gas and time. Re: Supplies?

One thought: check with some of the fly shops in your area. Where I live, there are 3 fly shops close-by. 2 of those shops carry some limited rodbuilding supplies. One of those shops even has tools, benches, jigs and a lathe so that customers can build their rods at the shop. I usually mail order from some of the sponsors here, but in a pinch I have been able to find certain items locally. George Forster Fort Collins, CO Re: Supplies?
