Thread to Blank color schemes

I've got major mind blockage, and need some suggestions.
I will be building on a blue colored blank, and I would like some suggestions
on what colored thread to use for guide wraps. Black just seems too, I don't know,
plain maybe.
I can't find any pictures with different thread wraps on a blue blank.
If you were building one, which colored thread comes to mind, what would you
use, or what do you think some good combination of colors might be?

I have done cobal blue with silver and purple inlays and trim... looks pretty nice. I will try to get up a pic.

I just finished and delivered a 3wt fly rod on a Batson Forecast blank, which is a dark blue. I did it in royal blue with gunmetal trim and it looked really nice. I also used a grizzly and tan hackle feather inlay at the butt, right on the blank with no underwrap. I will also try and post a pic or 2.

Sergio,
Generally, I will use different shades of plain and metallic blue with silver trim. I have found that silver always pairs very well with virtually all shades of blue.

Take care
Roger

Just did one with dark navy and gunsmoke metallic that looked sweet. If you want a contrast try ruby red with no CP. Its a great look as well !!. I trim it with black, and when the sun comes out it looks really really nice. Understated, but very nice.

Batson Forecast Blue blank with Blue Dun and gold metallic trim came out really sharp.

I'd look at some of the Fishhawk variegated threads-it will certainly not be plain.

Will you be using CP? It makes a difference in coordinating colors.

Give Gudebrod #340 Gold some consideration. Depending on your fittings this could look real nice.

Wow guy's thanks a lot for all of the replies, Barry, great looking blank. Phil, I'm not sure about the CP at this point....maybe? Keep the ideas coming, the creative juices are starting to flow!
If anyone has some photos of a build, that would help also.
