This is interesting as I've tried to contact a supplier in the States from @#$%& who has yet to reply after a week. he asked me what ounce I wanted, which I dont understand, surely if I need 3/8" bands that should be enough information?

Phillip, the "ounce" part would be how strong the rubber bands are...i.e., the amount of force they apply. Russ in Hollywood, FL. Re: how small guide foot ?

Josh,
Check out the big @#$%& site. I have picked up quite a variety of different bands that work very well for this. Another easy choice is to simply pick up surgical rubber hose and use a razor blade to slice it up into narrow sections. Many different drug stores, medical supply stores etc. have large supplies of surgical rubber tubing on hand. Take care Roger Re: how small guide foot ?

Thanks Russ,
But I'm still not sure what the range is. Phil. Re: how small guide foot ?

Most hobby shops will have small silicone fuel line for Cox 1/2A engines (about 1/32" ID). That works. Cut bands with a razor blade.
Your dentist will have .1" dental bands. Mine gave me a free sample. _________________________________________ "Angling is extremely time consuming. That's sort of the whole point." - Thomas McGuane Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/16/2010 05:19PM by Chuck Mills. Re: how small guide foot ?

Josh,
I have been using brass wire (28) gauge to attach micro guides with out a problem. It will tighten just enough and still allow a little movement. Once you have the threads tie down the guide foot use nail clippers to remove the wire. To each his own, good luck. Jeff Leonard Muskyfsh Re: how small guide foot ?

I use # 18 rubber bands, they are strong enough to use for test casting before wrapping and are available at any office supply place, Office Depot or Staples. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
