Have a Fuji ECSM Exposed Casting Reel Seat that I ordered but realize that it may need to be reamed out to fit my blank. Its a size 12mm real seat but the blank area where the seat will be placed is slightly larger around 12.15 or so. How do I ream this reel seat out to fit? All I have are the Dream Reamers, not sure what to use. Re: Reaming a Reel Seat

I have a rat tail file that has worked for me on reel seats. Re: Reaming a Reel Seat

Dream reamers work fine use them all the time for that purpose. Make sure to clean out any grit from inside of seat just in case a piece has come loose and gotten stuck in the seat, or it will scratch your blank Re: Reaming a Reel Seat

Jay,
A round 1/2 inch file will work just fine. Take care Roger Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
