Reaming a Reel Seat

Have a Fuji ECSM Exposed Casting Reel Seat that I ordered but realize that it may need to be reamed out to fit my blank. Its a size 12mm real seat but the blank area where the seat will be placed is slightly larger around 12.15 or so. How do I ream this reel seat out to fit? All I have are the Dream Reamers, not sure what to use.

I have a rat tail file that has worked for me on reel seats.

Dream reamers work fine use them all the time for that purpose. Make sure to clean out any grit from inside of seat just in case a piece has come loose and gotten stuck in the seat, or it will scratch your blank

Jay,
A round 1/2 inch file will work just fine.
Take care
Roger
