Aero Blank Exposed Sizing?

Planning to use the Aero Blank Exposed Casting Reel Seat with Comfort FInish on my next crankbait rod build. The blank will be a Baston CB70M, the thin blank diameter and the combination of not building with an exposed reel seat has me wondering if I should be getting the 9mm or the 9.5mm. What area should I measure with my caliper to ensure I am ordering the correct size casting reel seat.

Jay,
Measure the location - where the exposed part of the reel seat will be located. This is normally the smallest part of the reel seat that you want to fit tightly on the rod.
If the seat is only available in a size that is a bit larger or a bit smaller than this location, purchase the one that is a touch smaller. then, simply ream the reel seat as needed for a perfect fit.

Take care
Roger
