hey guys a fellow custom rod builder of mine needs a foot pedal. He has one of those older flex coat custom powerwrap rod wrapping machines, and he's had it for about 7 years now. Anyways his foot pedal is broken and he really needs to get a replacement as soon as possible. Please anyone, including the sponsors on this site, who has this foot pedal for that flex coat powerwrap please contact me at beethao@live.com. Thanks in advance. Re: Foot pedal for rod wrapper

Bee,
These power wrappers simply use an ac/dc series wound motor. Virtually any controller that will speed control an ac/dc motor will work fine. As Barry suggested, the sponsores on the left will likley have access to a foot pedal. Otherwise, you can go out into the open market and simply pick up any universal - rheostat type or electronic type foot pedal. My personal preference is for an electronic style speed control. It seems that it give a bit better speed control with no heating in the control. If you want to spring for an industrial foot pedal, Linemaster makes some of the best controllers on the market. Here is an example: [linemaster.com] You can either order directly from Linemaster or you can look at the site and find a local distributor and order from the local distributor. With this controller, simply plug the motor into the controller, and then plug the controller into the wall. Take care Roger Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
