Any one build this as a general inshore travel spinning rod?
If so, what guides did you use? I'm assuming you pair it with about a 4000 size reel. Is that about right? 6's or 7's for the running guides to pass knots? Thx Jay Re: guides on ic847-3

Hi Jay,
My plug will be for American Tackle guides of course. If it were me I would go with our new single foot "Ring Lock A-Frame" guides. They feature our Ring Lock frames with either Duralite or Nanolite rings. I prefer our Nanolite inserts which provide an extremely smooth hard surface will hold up to any braid or mono out there. The frames offer other great features such as: High ring location Ring Lock frame system eliminating ring loss Recessed frame encapsulating ring to protect them from impact Lateral Strut preventing side to side torque Vector Angle Crease at the leg base to keep the frames rigid Shorter foot print Thin Nanolite rings reducing weight and increasing ring ID I feel they are perfect for an inshore travel rod where durability and performance is a factor. Hope you will consider them. Best Regards, Darrin Heim American Tackle Company Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
