Jay,

If you want a blue painted one, I bought one at the rod show for a musky rod and the 16mm is too small, if you'd like it, email me and we'll work something out.

Jay,

RodDancer has alot of beautiful painted reel seats that are sold thru Fishsticks. Give Scott or Karen a call and they will give you a great price on them. There all painted with Automotive paints and a very hard clear coat. The Fuji models are;
DPSM - 16,17,18,20
ECSM - 10.0 thru 13.0
DNPSM - 16

Colors
RED
BLUE
GOLD
BLUE/GREEN SHIFT
PURPLE SHIFT
AQUARIUS SHIFT
LIMETIME GREEN
SILVER/BLUE METALLIC
GUNMETALMEDIUM BLUE w/ METTALIC SCALE
GOLD w/ BLACK SCALE
GUNMETAL w/ METALLIC SCALE
PINK MARBLE

Also have many Castaway 1 piece reel seats in many of the same colors.
These are excellent quality seats at a great price you really have to see them to appriciate the colors, you wont be disappointed.

Hi Jim,

Could you use Plasti-Kote to paint a rod blank, and then finish with permagloss?

Thanks,

Richard

Why use PG? The materials I have outlined work GREAT on blanks and I have painted plenty of them in such a fashion. Just take your time and don't try to "paint it all" at once. A few light coats will give a thinner coat AND better coverage without runs and streaks. The application is key for both colorant and sealant.

Hi Jim,

Just to clarify, are you saying that Plasti-kote doesn't need a top sealer/gloss application.

I have a customer I am doing a pink rod for, and they want it in high gloss!

Is it strong enough to resist some scratching against foliage and rocks.

Thanks again,

Richard
