Where to buy birch bark?

If memory serves me correctly, it seems like there was a board sponsor that carried birch bark. Where do you buy your birch bark?

Andrew, I got some from Mark Crouse a few years ago at the ICRBE. I checked for Mark's website, but it appears to no longer be active.

Seach for Birch bark canoes and you can buy scrap from there for a good price.

Thanks for the hint. I've been looking also....Anyone have any idea for red fir bark? There is a beautiful grip in the gallery made out of that stuff.

The key word there is scrap.I tried that route before selecting my own. I have made 60 or so grips. You really need to choose your stuff if you want a nice end result
