Stuart Tuff Butt assembly

I normally build from scratch but decided to give the Stuart Tuff Butt assemblies a try. Does anyone know what size gimbal they use in the assembly? I need to order an aluminum gimbal to replace the nylon one in the kit.

I just built a rod with a tuff butt for the first time, and I was tempted to do exactly what you're talking about. I ended up sticking with the vinyl, because it seemed plenty tough for how the rod would be used. But this is an easy one: just have your supplier match a gimbal for you. It should take about 30 seconds.

I think you're going to like how this turns out, by the way -- I've become a big fan of the Stuart Tuff Butt. They really make a nice trolling butt, without breaking the bank.

Clyde, In the tuff butts that I have built and sell the size 27 matches up to the bottom od just right, if you want to use the rounded ring provided then you can go with any size you would like. Thanks
