Looking for some feed back on this hook keeper. I am making a 10wt on a TFO professional blank for fishing pike. I was curious if anyone has expirience with this product. I am interested in the wind on style. Also how are the recoil single foot fly guides?

Josh,
In my opinion, The Catch Hook keeper is clunky and out of date. It also sticks out from the rod. You should consider a Neodymium bar magnet, for example: 1/2" x 1/8" x 1/16" thick (extremely small), which you can epoxy onto your rod, then wrap a few turns of thread at each end of the magnet. Click on the following link to see a typical Neodymium bar magnet, which sells for only 17 cents. This magnet has a holding power of 1.4 Lbs.. You can buy almost any size you want, so in the small window on the left side of the screen, titled "Quick Links" click on "Blocks" to find what you need! Rena,
That's a neat idea. I was looking mor for something to eclose the tip of the hook on larger pike streamers. I think this Catch hook keeper would probably be bulky and gotty looking the more I think about it. I'll keep on searching. Josh Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
