I am a newbie swimming in information.......

As I research more and more, I have more and more questions.

Is there a one-stop supplier for all the rod building needs (adhesives, finisher, color preserver, etc, etc)? I see many different companies out there, but would like to know where I should start.

Thanks guys!

Let me clarify a little. Between the multiple suppliers out there, is there one that outperforms the others? Which brand do most people gravitate to? Flex Coat, U 40, RodDancer, Gudebrod, etc, etc?

On thread watch out, some have a coating and you have to use CP or they will fish eye. I myself use Guderod. No coating and I can use CP or just finish. This make for different colors on one thread color.

You could use the Search on this site and see what seems to be the popular products that builders use and start from there.

Tony most sewing threads have a silicon covering , this makes the thread slide threw the needle mush easier and not fray. These threads need a CP coating

Mudhole, @#$%&, angler's workshop, bingham, custom tackle supply, and netcraft are some of the comprehensive board sponsor suppliers that sell everything to build a rod from multiple vendors.
