I am currently working on a closed wrap with the center design containing some bright orange thread, to close the wrap I will be fading dark brown to light beige. My concern is that the underlying orange will show thru the beige and yes I will be using cp. Should I attempt to color the orange with a sharpie before closing up the wrap or is there a better way of doing this?

No, don't do that. I'd opt for beige NCP just to be safe, but even then, orange shouldn't bleed through a nicely packed section of beige, even regular nylon.

Use CP whether you use regular nylon or NCP.

Only problem is I don't have a good color ncp beige, the one I have is to light, I will just have to pack'em tight and cross my fingers.

YIkes. Where'd you get that idea from? THat's pretty scary, and if anyone reading this is curious abotu trying it - this is what it looks like before you make a complete mess of 5 hours of work, lol.

GEt good at packing threads, regardless of what type of thread you use. I prefer to not go over dark colors with light, but tan over orange shouldn't be a problem at all.

Jeff, I was kidding about "seeing it". I meant "this is just a bad idea, learnfrom Jeff's post what NOT to do". YOu touch thread with a marker, the ink will run EVERYWHERE and make a complte mess of everything. 5 hours, 8 hours 12 hours - I've screwed them up at all time lengths myself, so don't feel bad if itdoens't work out.

If you want to be sure of how it will come out, do a short wrap on a piece of scrap
