Weldwood contact cement for the EVA to EVA. Bond the EVA into "subassemblies" then you can use a two-part rodbuilders glue (Flexcoat, RodDancer, etc) to assemble your cork rings and EVA subassemblies together. When you sand it down, be careful with the rough grit sandpaper (60, 80) because it will gouge out the EVA making it look ragged/jagged. It's ok to an extent until you get down close to the desired finished diameter. At that point you should have gradually worked down to 150-220-400 grit. The wire sanding screen smooths out the EVA nicely. Check out RodMaker Magazine Volume 7 #3.
