Hi, is there any other wax or anything that would do the trick when gluing cork rings on a mandrel? Wouldn't just a regular candle do? thanks, Jari Re: Alternative to paraffin?

I use a piece of candle. I believe most candles are made of parafin. I have used plumbers teflon tape on threaded rod, too. Re: Alternative to paraffin?

Parafin is easy to find. Just look at the grocery store where they sell the canning supplies such as jars and pectin, etc or ask one of the managers. Most stores (Albertsons, Safeway, etc) have it Re: Alternative to paraffin?

I use candles for this and they've worked fine. Re: Alternative to paraffin?

Thanks for your answers. I tried it with a candle and everything worked out well. Thanks, Jari Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
