I'm repairing a couple of my rod grips that have been "eaten up" when fighting fish using the rail of the sportboat. I'm planning to use shrinkable skin tubing over the EVA grip. What do you suggest to use for the fore grips when building my next rods? These rods are 6.5' to 7' having roller guides for 80-130 lb test spectra.
Thanks for your help! Andy Re: Rail Rods

I use hypalon under my rail rod foregrips. I install them at full size and then turn them down so the diameter of the finished grip will be what I want. I use the 3m cold shrink 18" product. Thad Dutchman's Creek Tackle Re: Rail Rods

Does that 3M cold shrink hold up better than that NuSkin Rod Armour material?
Thanks! Andy Re: Rail Rods
