Mudhole MHX blank "kits"

What do the MHX blank kits consist of from Mud Hole? Is it a complete kit, including eyes, reel seat, and handle? Or do I have to order the accessories separatly?

The MHX kit is a complete kit and includes guides, top, reel seat, and a cork handle.

One more question, I'm thinking about trying to build my first rod....Is it a decent blank kit to begin with?

I'm not trying to be smart but an phone call or e-mail to Mudhole will get you first hand accurate information right from the source.
I can't speak for the kit as I have never bought a kit, but the blanks are excellant! I would recommend them to anyone

This comprises 46 complete rod kits based on state of the art blanks, Portuguese cork handles and high quality reel seats, guides & tops.
from mudhole WS..so I would say yes

The short answer is :YES, the kits contain all the necessary components.
The long answer is a bit, well, longer.
The kits are pretty much designed for the beginner. I was speaking with Todd Vivian about these last month, and he mentioned this, saying that he would like to see a kit with better quality components included. Don't misunderstand: the kit will make a very decent rod, but these blanks are truly great, and you might want to consider using upgraded components to make a truly fine-quality fishing instrument. Just MHO

Doug - did you buy a Fuji ECSM seat for that blank and they sized it for you? You do realize that unless it was a size 15 or a different Fuji seat, you are supposed to use an arbor of some sort at the front of the seat, right?

I have ardered a couple, they are good kits. A person can sure upgrade, but then, you do not want to order a kit. Then just upgrade the componants that you want. These are good blanks though. The kit is very good product at a great price.
Best thing to do is order one, then see for yourself.
