Greetings,
I hope someone can identify a blank I just purchased from a gentleman who knew nothing about the rods he was selling. I got a blue fly rod blank that has a hand written identification on the blank as CS7734. It is 2pc, and is very light and tapes out a 7'7" so the obvious answer is that it is 7'7", 3/4wt, but I am curious about the CS. Anyone know who might have made this blank? I got it for $10 so I am not worried about whether or not it is high quality, just curious if it was made by recognizable name. Thanks, MIke Re: Help identify fly rod CS7734

I think you have a Angler's Workshop Chalkstream blank. I have built a few and they are outstanding for small stream trout fishing. Moderate actions, and right on for the line weight(s) stated, if not a little under in some cases (per my CCS tests). The blanks are made in the U.S.A. for Angler's Workshop and have a very nice deep blue finish too. You got a great deal for $10.00!

Thanks John,
Sorry for the delay in responding. I am glad to hear that it will make a nice rod. It is very straight and feels nice. I am excited. I can't wait to try it out on a few N. ID cutties. Thanks again for the help. Happy New Year. Mike Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
